Whether the tapered exterior of Praetorius's Schreierpfdjen betokens a contracting bore (an unusual thing in reed instru ments) is impossible to say. When reading from untransposed music, one will put oneself in gear, as it were, for the second way. The natural plant fibers in the cellulose give it a "reedy" sound somewhat like a recorder. I cannot help but wonder if it's being promoted by clarinet companies or shop owners. Elsewhere west of the Rhine it has lost ground, or is beginning to lose ground, to the German bassoon.

Any of those combinations works fine; for most players, it will probably make sense to use the same fingering combination for both pairs of notes. They rented the boat out for about 7 days total, and not in a row. Alternatively the two joints may be made in one piece. I think oboe is the best because its double reeded, there are not a lot of them (if you play professional more money), people are looking for oboes, and it pretty much the same fingerings as tenor sax.

Everyone has heard the sounds of wooden floors and stairs that act as soundboards and amplify rather than dampen the sound of walking. My only complaint with these is that even though they claim to be made of stainless-steel, they always rust, and the copper ones turn green! There are different ways of playing the union pipe according to whether or not the chanter is kept down on the knee (except that it always has to be lifted for the lowest note, d', made with all finger-holes covered).

Yet other bags are of moulded rubber, while for an emergency replacement, almost anything may be used, e.g. Bagpipes are unique reed pipe instruments since they use two or more double or single reeds. The upper part is scored with a file for better grip on the cane, and the wide end is lapped with cork for insertion into the instrument.
